It's not that Mind Game is virtually unknown. I think that it's more like this title is not mainstream enough like The Place Promised in Our Early Days. Kudos to ADV for entering this film (Place Promised..) into competition.

It hasn't been released theatrically in North America, so no, it isn't eligible for an Oscar except perhaps best Foreign film...

I'm kind of surprised that, with all the hype, it hasn't been picked up yet. I just hope the Weinstein Co. doesn't get it...

I'm surprised that no one has picked up the rights to release 'Mindgame' in the states. It's been talked about quite a bit it seems. Though there was a small interview with the some of the staff in 'Newype USA' about early 2005. I'm also curious to take a look at 'Kurakenbo'.
Seems a lot of new films are popping up being shown at the 'International Film Festivals'.
