I thought that it would be more than that.
Hm... can anyone tell me if the ending from the manga is the same as the anime? ^^;; |

They never intended to keep going in the first place. Especially when the manga came out after the anime. Doesn't usually follow the rule when there is a manga BEFORE there is an anime (ie. -Airmaster, Gunslinger Girl, Chrno Crusade, etc...).
Mai-HiME you can tell it was a strictly original concept from 'Sunrise'. And usually, when there are manga adaptations on an anime it's usually and alternate retelling anyway. So it's really something extra for the fans.

Mai-HiME was kind of unique in that they intended to have the anime and manga be different from the start.
