Hm? Why's that? As long as the original Japanese language track is kept intact, I'll be happy. I adore Maaya Sakamoto! And she's providing the voice for my absolute favorite character to boot! <3

As for sub. That probably won't happen. Because seeing as it's being distributed by Sony Pictures.
Though, if it were handed to Bandai Entertainment or any other anime movie companies. Then it's more likely you'll get to choose the sub version.

I thought that Square Enix was handling it since this is one of their main properties.

Square Enix is listed as distributer at IMDB and I don't see any mention of Sony on the AC website. Where are you getting this from, Zack26?

Why???
As long as it has the subtitles that you so obviously want, why deny the majority of viewers that would prefer to see it dubbed?
What you're saying is "I like subs and dislike dubs, so I hope the rest of you have no choice but to watch it the way I like it."

Yeah i really like having a choice. If the dub is bad, that doesn't matter because there's a sub version. Also, watching it a second time around is more interesting with a different language.

um, sony does a good job of keeping intact subtitles. case in point: Internal Affairs and Cowboy Bebop movie.
as for the squaresoft-enix distributing -- sony owns part of that company. just throwing that out there.

Sounds fine to me.
It looks like there is a rather stellar Japanese cast on it. The very least they can do is put it out on a dual language DVD. If we get it dub only I will be f-ing upset.

About damn time!
I thought that film would have never come out!
Well, let's see what Square, ahem...now Square-Enix came up with. Personally I could have done without a follow up story to FF7. It was good the way it was. But this is what happens when the company decides to continue milking the "cow of success".
Oh, well. I'm in for a viewing.

I agree, I've been waiting forever for this! Glad to hear its finally coming out.
As for the Sub-Only. I dont get that comment either. They should do like normal and release on a multi-language format. English or Japanese audio with option for Subtitles or none.
Besides, If your really hardcore you put on the Japanese Audio Track and choose No Subtitles. :p
- Sub-Nazi's make me giggle.
