Some series in Japan will have two parts to an episode. Halfway through, they show another title screen and have a new story/part. I've noticed Dr. Slump and Goldfish Warning do it, as well as the very recent Ichigo 100%. On the Ichigo 100% website, these different parts to the episodes are listed as separate episodes. As in, episode 1 and 2 are listed as the titles that were in episode one. I noticed for Ichigo on ANN the episode titles have been input as separate episodes, but with the same air date. Is this how it should be done? For Dr. Slump I was just putting a slash between the two titles for each episode number but now I'm wondering if I should have made them different episodes (which would take forever because it would change the numbers of all 247 episodes x.x).

As a note, these are regular half-hour episodes with two titles in the episode. I'm not talking about one hour specials or anything. Anime smile;

I was wondering about this, too. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, 2x2=Shinobuden, and Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu FINAL also have 2 part episodes. How should the episodes be entered?
I entered the episodes of 2x2 with a slash between the two parts, but Hale Nochi Guu and Dokuro-chan's episodes are listed as completely separate episodes.
If you were to consider both halves a different episode, that would also change the running time from a half hour to 15 minutes, and of course it would also change the number of episodes. How would the staff like these to be entered?

There is a feature (which I just realized is undocumented) where you can specify the "sub-episodes" like this:

001. A. I'm Lum the Notorious! JP: Uwasa no RAMU-chan Datcha!
001. B. It's Raining Oil in Our Town JP: Machi ni Sekiyu no Ame ga Furu

see the Urusei Yatsura episode list to see what it looks like

I had a feeling there was, since I saw something like that on the Puffy AmiYumi episodes.

The Ichigo 100% episodes would need to be fixed then, I think...? The episodes are numbered that way on the official site, but when it comes to episode numbers themselves that would confuse so many people.

Hmm, I'm quite surprised to see Ichigo 100% adapting this format. This "2 in 1" is most common among slice-of-life comedies, like all aforementioned titles (sans Ichigo 100%), plus something else e.g. ATASHIn'CHI and Doraemon, where stories are not necessary to be continuous between episodes and sub-episodes.

The official episode guide did not mark them with numbers, so I'd say Dan's method is the most appropriate. Let's wait a while see if it will end at ep 13 (I really don't think so, for the manga is way longer Cool ). I'll change them right away if you are certain that those even-numbered episodes are actually sub-episodes.

The episode guide was shut down.
