I'd like to know what qualifies under this topic. Well, at least the borderline stuff that qualifies for this topic.

But what can I say? It seems that the lowest common denominator always seems to prevail.

Brings new meaning to the phrase "Thank heaven for little girls", don't it? For without products with them what would loser otaku spend millions on?

*shudder*

THis makes me GLAD that usually a normal american otaku couldn't qualify as an otaku in Japan (because he/she's not otaku ENOUGH).

To say the least.

What really got me was this:

Unmarried males in their 30s account for the majority of the moe market.

GREAT SCOTT!!! O___O;

... Hide me.

As if "man-faye" and the Yaoi Paddle weren't bad enough, we have to deal with this stigma as well. Rolling Eyes

"Unmarried males in their 30s account for the majority of the moe market."

I think that sums it all up right there.

And just think, somewhere in the world a 12-year old girl is putting a picture of a girl from a hentai game on her LiveJournal because she thinks it's "cute". D:>

You guys act as if 30 year old man (married or unmarried) here in the U.S. arn't watching the latest high school drama anime like Fruit basket and reading the latest shojo like Passion Fruit. They love them young girls.

Moe's:
Hentai games - 48 Billion yen
Anime and Manga - 42.8 Billion yen

Shocked

I'm a 40 year old married man, and most of what I read and watch is shoujo.

Chuck in some moe, and i'm in heaven:-D

Okay, so I prefer Maria-sama ga miteru to Ultimate Girls, but both are on my viewing list....
