Looking forward to this! I've always been a huge fanboy of Monica Rial and Luci Christian, and the roles they've been cast in definitely suit their style of acting. The rest of the cast looks pretty darn good as well. Depending on the packaging and pricing, I may have to get this as a replacement for my sub-only set from last year. Smile

Now... if only Kodansha could bring the rest of the manga over here... *dreams*

Honestly, this series was insanely mediocre. Just license the OVA remake: anime#11669 It's actually a lot closer to the manga and worth you time, I suppose. Why are they choosing to dub this now? High DVD sales for the dub I suppose. The cover lies. Oh, man... I remember being so excited when this series first came out. I bought the manga a month before, and when I actually sat down and watched the first episode, I realized it was severely watered down. I was all like, "What's with all this fire crap? Where's the blood? BLOOD?!" Needless to say I was disappointed. Nevertheless, I kept watching, only to be bored up 'till the last episode.

The manga is one of my favorites (I love the characters) but I enjoyed the main anime series. Got a bit of a Scooby-Doo vibe from it. lol

The OVA's are pretty sad though. The animation for them is of higher quality, but the character designs are awful and they skip wayyyyyyy too much stuff.

I agree that I would rather want the ova instead of a re release.

But the imo the anime looks good, but the ova looks terrible, the art design change is awful; plus I dont like the voice actor changes either.

Personally I want a continuation if anything.

Good news. This show wasn't really anything special....but still it has a certain charm in my opinion. I wonder if Rightstuf will be offering a replacement program for this series as well. I would gladly trade in my inferior sub-only copies for the a bilingual edition.

Woah, Chris Patton!? I thought he'd stopped doing voice work for anime. I hope this is a sign of things to come!

Really? Why?!

I'm glad actors are getting work, but Princess Resurrection was an underwhelming and mediocre stinker.

Did it really do so well for Sentai/ADV that they're gonna give this a dub and a re-release?

I am surprised that this anime did well enough to warrant a dub. Maybe the American dub will play the series as a joke, because the Japanese version was bad. I just had average hopes for the series, but there were at most 5 - 6 good episodes.

Maybe they'll start continuing the manga translations again.

And maybe Rozen Maiden season 3 will be out soon.

I'm not. Harems like this just keep selling.

Some people like to eat the same thing for dinner every night, too.

Like when my mom went on "strike" and made my dad cook dinner for 3 nights in a row. He fed us MREs. We were young enough that he tried to convince us that MREs are "fun".

It was a coming of age ritual.
