It's been over a year since Bandai signed the deal to allow Witch Hunter Robin to be made into a live-action series on US cable, and nearly a year since the series was "confirmed". The series was going to be in "2004 or 2005".
Well, 2004 is over and done with, and we've got a good start on 2005, so if it was going to happen in the spring or summer, shouldn't we have heard something by now? Hell, even if it was going to be in the fall of this year, shouldn't some vague developmental news have leaked out?
I just scoured Google looking for news, and can't find a peep since April of last year. I'm about ready to give this series up for dead.

I'm sure this project still has as much life left in it as live-action Evangelion and live-action Real Bout High School and, probably, live-action Dragonball Z and live-action Akira.
In other words, current development status: "Pining for the fjords".

Funny, I was just thinking about this same thing just yesterday. I'm still hopefull, TV movies should have a better chance of seeing production than indi Hollywood movies do.
Oh well, atleast we're getting constant undates on the Transformers movie, that's all I really care about. Have to give producer Don Murphy credit for that, he even gave us a line of script as a teaser only 2 days after he recieved it.

I've been looking forward to the live action WHR as well, it better not have been thrown into production limbo, though I hope it'll be better than some of the other Sci-Fi Channel original movies.
