Hey whats up? I really dont know where I should put this (I was thinking retail but I noticed there is a low post count) so I decided to put it here. I have about 30 anime dvds, in about 27 cases (one anime, dirty pair, is a 3 dvd non bootleg) so I was wondering how much I could get for that at an average price. I have considered ebay but I want your opinion on where and how I can sell them and for how much. Sorry if this bothers you. They are all non bootleg and are in good condition

PS - I have 18 ps2 video games and I wanted to know how much I could sell those for.
Once again sorry to ask this.

Also I was interested in knowing what animes that have been released in the last 6 months are worth checking out Very Happy

The post count in retail is low because not nearly as many people have retail related questions as those that just want to discuss or have questions about series and such.

Anyway, just like everything else anybody wants to sell, it depends on what series and games you are talking about, and if they are popular. You can't just put a number on 30 DVDs. If you want to post the names then we can try and give some kinda figure, but it's unpredictible.

Here are some of them:
Chobits 1-6
Rahxephon 1-7
Dirty Pair Complete collection
Azumanga 1-4
Najica blitz tactics 1-2
Battle Vixens (forgot the actual japanese anime name so I am using the manga name) volume 1
Abonashi Shopping arcade 1
Please Teacher 1
Love HIna spring movie 1
Neon Genesis Directors cut vol 1
There are a few more, I think,

Video game wise uhh...I would rather not post them all but they are all very popular games that in the official playstation magazine recieved at least a 4 (out of 5)

THank you for the help Very Happy

Seeing how you bought them for $24 a piece I would probably sell each DVD for $15, and if you’re daring $10. That's just my opinion though, if I were you I wouldn't sell them, you may be going through a tough time but just wait it out it will come back to you.

Its not really that I am in "need" of money its just I am trying to save up for a new guitar that I "want" (a gibson sg) so I was looking at possibly selling things I dont want or need that way I could have some extra cash. Yeah I was thinking if I was selling them that I would sell them for about 10 to 15 bucks a piece. I might sell the animes but I am really interested in getting rid of video games that I dont play anymore. See this cash could go to either picking up a small but loud amp that I need for jamming with friends (my amp at home is way too big to carry around its 85 pounds). If I sold my animes or video games I could get the money that I need. Problem is that I noticed on ebay that video game sales are extremely hit or miss either someone is willing to pay 150+ bucks for your games or they want them for .01 cents. With anime it sells relatively ok. I dont really want to sell my anime but at the same time I have less and less time to watch it because I have a lot of school work and I play guitar with my friends and band so leaves very little time to watch anime although I try to squeeze one in around 11 PM on weekends. I love anime but I seriously have less time and money to spend on it since I am more guitar oriented (and its not a really a phase). But I do enjoy anime so I might keep them unless someone on here makes an offer I cant refuse Wink

For me, if I ever sell anything, I sell it for half of what I originally paid. The fact that it's already been used halves it's value (to me anyway).

But if you're gonna' try eBay, I recommend setting a price slightly higher than half. Of course this also depends on how much you orginally paid yourself.

I know it might sound crazy, but I'm sure there are plenty of suckers.. uh, I mean "willing bidders" Anime smile + sweatdrop who will pay a decent amount of money for a used copy of something.

Just make sure you take pictures of them too, good ones, that is. I can't stand it when someone on eBay sells something without so much as a picture of the merchandise.

What exactly are you trying to do with music; (if you don't mind me asking) I do have a lot of experience in the field of rockin' and a rollin'.

Yeah I was planning on if i did sell them on ebay to set it at about 20 bucks or so higher than half the price of what I bought it for. Well for my music stuff I am a guitarist that plays many different styles. Mostly I do rock (heavy metal, progressive, hard rock, classic rock, but not too much punk or pop rock) with a really nice RG Ibanez guitar but I wanted a gibson for that old rock sound. I am on and off in a band at my school (reasons I go on and off is we have our "creative differences"). I also play flamenco, classic music, and blues. I like doing a bunch of different things and it all costs money so I need to see what I can sell that I "need" so that I can have money to support my guitaring (I am not old enough to have a part time job but actually I will be able to get a job in the summer) so actually If I wait a couple months I will have a job that can support my anime and guitaring needs Very Happy but I still will consider selling. Thanks guys

Yeah, I would go with a little over half of what you paid. For the single DVDs, you may want to go at right about half, because singles don't sell as well as a larger collection (even if you are planning on selling all the stuff in one auction). If you're going to use ebay, and if there is a minimum amount that you want to get, then set a reserve price, and start the auction off cheap. Make sure that you take lots of pics of everything, up close, so that everyone knows they are legit.

I personally recommend the Les Paul over the SG.

Anyway, I personally wouldn't want to pay $15 for a used DVD. I can get a brand new DVD for $18 at Deep Discount DVD. I'd probably pay $12 at the most. I might be interested in taking some of that Azumanga off of your hands right now if I had a bit more money.

I hope it is okay to use this thread. I have a question also, but did not know exactly where to post it, and I did not want to create a new thread just to ask. I am watching Sukisyo right now and wanted to know if anyone could give me a decent review on it. The ones I have found so far were very brief. Sad

I'm thinking you will have a pretty hard time getting Chobits and Onegai Teacher from DDDVD for $18, since they are selling them for $24.

It's a good thing that I can't stand Chobits and don't think Onegai Teacher is all that great either.
