This is a great marketing move. It presents 4Kids with a very significant branding opportunity.
Of course, it'd be much more exploitable in the long run if they weren't a kids only company, and if their name wasn't so generic.
But still, it should provide them with a significant boost in brand recognition.

I'm intrigued by this news.
As long as some of my favorite FOXBOX shows keep running there,I'm happy.

Very interesting, though it somehow seems, I dunno, arrogant. I agree it's a great way to advertise themselves, but at the same time it's a rather unusual thing to do. It'd be kinda like Toonami or Adult Swim being renamed "Williams Street TV" or something. Should be interesting to see what this does for their reputation.

What reputation? They don't even have one.

I find this interesting since even when Saban Entertainment was around and owned Foxkids, even they didn't go that far. Perhaps to compete with KidsWB name franchase. I wonder how this will fare.

From a buinissness standpoint it is a smart move, but to the hardcore Anime Fan it is just more of a reason for them to dispisize them.

Eh, how can a company not have a reputation? There are good reputations and there are bad reputations. The entertainment industry loves them and the fanboys hate them. I don't know why you can't see that they have a reputation with all the bashing they get here.

Yeah, I saw the commercial for this a couple of days ago. I was a little scared to be honest. Oh well, I just love the 4 kids 5 !
Anyway, I still don't understand why the foxbox was on upn. I think fox owns them but it doesn't really make sense.

Older teens aren't the aim. So their reputation in your eyes does not matter.

Mew Mew Power "sometime in 2005"? That's a little less specific than I would like. Oh, well.
I actually like 4Kids, a bit . . . definitely not my favorite company, but then again, they're not trying to be. They do a good job at what they do, and that is to bring kids shows from Japan, and tweak them a bit for the American kids audience. They've got a pretty good resume so far, considering how big Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh are. (As well as the relative success of Shaman King and One Peice.)
Still would like a little more info on those Mew Mews, though . . .

I still miss '90s Fox mornings aka Foxkids....
.... I don't care about 4Kids taking over it. I don't watch the channel ever and I don't think I will.

Yes, because controlling one Saturday block, having a large piece of another, and constant reruns on a 3rd network is bad.
I hate to break out the Game Show references, but it looks like 4Kids is turning into the 21st century equivalent of the Mark Goodson Productions of the 70's-80's, with properties springing up everywhere.
