Does anyone know if Yusuke's reiki attack in Yuu Yuu Hakusho is called Rei Gan or Rei Gun?

Well, it goes either way. The English word "gun" is pronounced "gan" in Japanese. I'd recommend calling it "rei gun" as "rei gan" is essentially the same thing and only serves the purpose of making you look a little silly.

I believe it's rei gun. That's what I see in the english tranlations of the manga. I think your question has to do with the Japanese sound for "a".
A in Japanese sounds like the a in father. If you were to pronounce "gan" with that in mind, it comes out like gun. |

The name is written in kanji as "Reigan".
The name translates as "Spirit Ball", but it's intended as a pun: "Reigan" sounds like "raygun". "Rei Gun" is closest to the intended spirit, while "Spirit Gun" spells things out and ditches the pun entirely. "Spirit Ball", if you want to get anal, is the correct translation, but it's not very accurate to the intended meaning. |

While were at it, what is the correct Japanese name of Yusuke's of Yuu Yuu Hakusho Shotgun? Is it Shotgun or Rei Kou Ha?
