Japanese Virtual Artist KAF Shares First English Song 'Answer'

The Number Arrives In Time To Celebrate Her Sixth Anniversary

Tokyo, Japan — Pioneering virtual artist KAF has established herself as one of the most important performers in modern Japanese music, releasing exhilarating songs showcasing her dynamic voice and putting on sold-out live shows in her home country showing the possibilities of a reality-blurring creator in the 2020s. Now, she's facing the world, starting with her first song sung entirely in English, “Answer.”

This version of “Answer” updates the lyrics of the 2020 original released as the ending theme for the anime series Black Clover. Here, KAF translates and re-centers the words into English without losing the impact of the original, creating a number that holds on to the essence of the original while hinting at new possibilities. It's a declaration of intent — of a creator heading out into the greater world, ready to share her art with a whole new audience.

The song arrives shortly after KAF celebrated her sixth anniversary as an artist, and about two months ahead of the release of her fourth album Fable. Every song features a different producer working with KAF, pushing the artist into new sonic terrain and helping her expand what she's capable of vocally.
