"When initially discussing the RIVAL SCHOOLS: OFFICIAL COMPLETE WORKS book at CAPCOM's Japan offices, one of the CAPCOM team members handed an UDON editor a binder and asked “Would this be useful?” The binder, belonging to longtime CAPCOM designer and Rival Schools artist Edayan, contained about a hundred pages of raw pencil sketches. There were rough character concepts, unused layouts, rejected characters, alternate costume ideas and more. This was GOLD!

“We have 20 more of these binders…” said CAPCOM.

After meticulously scanning, cleaning up, sorting through, and finally choosing the very coolest and best material from these archives, UDON has compiled a massive black and white artbook full of nearly-unseen sketch material by Edayan, perfect for the most hardcore of Rival Schools fans... or anyone who loves process materials, behind the scenes art, or CAPCOM video games!
