Didn't the Prefectoral Earth Defense Force get an actual US release somewhere? It seems they're the iconic impoverished team.

I know there is going to be a stream of posts about who didn't make the cut. So let me start out by saying, this was fun to read. Great job. I know it's impossible to include everybody. (And I'm tickled pink that you listed the Corpse Delivery Service.)
Now of course, I'm going to contribute to the "why didn't you include..." posts. (Sorry about that!)
The Enohana bathhouse crew in NieA Under 7.

Erm, is it just me or is the poll not working?
Funny enough, I remember seeing a list of the top five selling anime from this past spring season and I think it's the exact same five as this poll (I remember it was weird since it had a lot of shows I was watching on it and my tastes are usually a little different from the Japanese fans). Weird, also hope this means that Viz puts out Tiger and Bunny DVDS/gets the rights for them soon since it sounds like it really is catching on over here.

Yeah, something's up; it's being looked in to, apologies for the delay.

Was Wandering Son not featured in last week's poll for vote? ('favorite show', not the 'favorite crossdreser') I remember voting for it. Maybe I'm mistaken..
I'm really actually surprised that 30-sai is more popular than We Without Wings! The top 11 are not too surprising, but in a good way.
I love this issue's list. The "odd job and low on cash" theme is always my favorite and I really agree with Gia. Her top 5-2 are absolute classics, with Outlaw Star and Team Rocket. A pretty perfect list, actually!
Makes me want to watch Gintama if they're on top.

Wandering Son wasn't a spring season show, which is what that poll was about.
I so agree with this list.
Although, if I were to add people, I'd definitely say the homeless group from 20th Century Boys

To prove once again that I'm an extremely old fogey.
The Inter-Galactic Space Patrol from Maris the Chojo (Supergal) found in Rumiko Takahashi's Rumic World series. Again, the main focus is on the desperate search for money by the deeply in debt.

Also joining the usual "why didn't you include..." flow that follows any article that has "top -insert number- most -insert adjective- -insert entities-" in its title :
-> no Excel Saga ?...

Based on what she wrote about the top two titles being separated by two votes, I suspect that 30-sai got 2 votes versus We Without Wings' 1 vote. I wouldn't exactly call it more popular in that case.
I can't really argue with the top 9, except for Exorcist which I never watched so I can't say yea or nay. I'm a little sad that Denpa didn't get more love. I really loved it, but I also understand it's more of a niche show.
The list of impoverished teams is great too, glad to see that Kurosagi gets some recognition there.

Huh, I figured if Bebop was included, then Samurai Champloo would also be a given. Watanabe must like starving his protagonists or something.
Not really a group, but Yoshii from Baka and Test has a daily intake of 1/57 of a rice ball! Of course, he'd be able to afford quite a bit more food if he'd stop buying those sexy pictures of Hideyoshi......

You could probably consider the title group of Samurai 7 as poor, since they're working just for rice.
As for favorite rich guy? Roger Smith, just because he's pretty much Batman.

Hmm, looking at the top 6, which are all series that I have watched and enjoy, I'm seeing a pattern in some of the stuff I like...

Liked the list. My personal favorite for poorest would be the Paper Sisters, but it's had to include every single protagonist.
