Dr. Dre's 15 minutes are up. Tokyo Tribes needs Method Man and Red Man. Oh yeah. Best quote from Inoue in A.I. : "When Jay-Z talks about the hood, he's telling a story about the reality of thug life." Yeah, buddy. Him getting down with his crew on a yacht is keepin' it real.

uh, he grew up from the macy project which is one of the poorest ghetto in NY. When you live in a poor enviroment, there is a lot of crime. So when you're rags to riches, you'll be celebrating too.

Any time MTV licences ANY anime you can bet it will be so far off the charts for people to watch, as you're better off trying to watch it on some other channel.

Never needed them in the first place. When I play GTA:San Andreas and listen to his songs, I get reminded that Dre is king to making beats. His 2001 album and work w/Eminem also reinforces that notion. Of course, rap and hip-hop are my thing, so its a matter of opinion. Since the MTV label is attached, it might peak his interest, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Only glanced through the manga a little, but this announcement peaks my interest. Here's hoping MTV does a better job at promotion than with Heat Guy J.

Bear in mind that MTV Films licensed this. Most likely it'll be a theatrical release.
Also, Gatsu, saying Dr. Dre's 15 minutes are up is like saying Frank Sinatra's 15 minutes are up. He'll be remembered forever as a pioneer, he wasn't a flash in the pan artist. Get some perspective.
Oh wait, I forgot your whole gimmick is that you have no perspective.

Are you talking about the same guys from that dumb @ss show "Meth N' Red"?
or that stupid movie were they sell marijuana that makes college students much "smarter"? ..uh yeah.
Unlike that hack P.Diddy, Dre has street cred and is great at what he does (producing Rap Albums as well as lending his vocals here n there.)

Chill out, dudes. MTV Films only recently started licensing movies a few years ago, but they've never done a bad job. Just because something has an MTV logo on it, doesn't mean it will be bad, or poorly treated. One of my favorite indie films of all time (Better Luck Tomorrow) was licensed by MTV Films, and because of that, it got a lot more exposure and the director got the respect that he deserved.
I'm really excited about this. I can't wait to see it.

I find it ironic for a channel named for a specific purpose, that it only comprises of maybe less than 15% of it's programming.
MTV2, well.....
