But I guess we can also take this as an official announcement that the series is licensed and will be released in the U.S.
Woo hoo, very happy!
Edit: oops they announced that at AX back on the 1st. Missed that one.

They haven't given specs on the release as of AX.

As far as I can tell from Kara no Kyoukai's encyclopedia entry, Iwakami had no part in its production.

Oh pleeeeeeaaaaase, let the release date not be until later on in the year. And PLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSEEE be less than $150 (not that I want it to go that high either). :/
No dub? I can live without.
No BD? Disappointing, but no problem.
Mother****ing expensive release being released in the same timeframe as the Limited Editions for Katanagatari Set 2, Spice and Wolf, Utena V2, and the bundle set for Emma? Not cool.
All I really want is a cool box and subtitles (a cd would be cool as well, but if I'm going to be price gouged anyways, I'd rather go without). Is that too much to ask for without taking it up the wazoo?

I'm pretty sure the final volume hits streets in Japan in September, so I could see this as first quarter 2012 release, or maybe December this year.

Is there some strong precedent of "premieres" where, if they're subtitled, that means that they're just going to get a subtitle release? How the hell could Aniplex USA get together a competent dub within only a few months anyway, considering that they just announced it at AX?
Man, I REALLY hope the home video specs are unveiled here-- blu-ray and dub, ho!

Hopefully they will announce a Blu-Ray release, at the very least; since the Japanese are releasing it as a Blu-Ray at the moment.

That is only because he and a few other producers for the movie series haven't been added to the encyclopedia yet. I added them now.

As cute as this series looks, I hear this stuff is pretty intense.
