Can't wait! This'll be the best anime to come on Adult Swim since FMA Brotherhood!

I suppose the real English premiere date would be the 25th though because it'll air at 11:30 in the central time zone (I believe?)

Bleh...
I'm already watching the uncut english dub, up to ep 10 and might finish it before the most likely edited premiere.
F**k you Adult Swim!

Eh?
Now, admittedly the only version of Durarara I've seen is the subbed version on crunchyroll, so I can't say for sure how much swearing there is in the english dub, but I don't expect there to be a huge amount given the way the subs were.
And there's only a single short scene that was violent enough where I can imagine it getting edited for TV, and I could easily see it going through unedited as well.

Nah, the only thing edited for DRRR will be any flavorful language that the dub decided to add in. It's a pretty clean series, and compared to Baccano it's like a Y7 cartoon.

I'm looking forward to this. I haven't watched anything on Adult Swim on Saturday besides Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherood for quite a while, but this might change that, for a few weeks, at least.
The prospect of editing for content doesn't bother me. So long as no important dialogue or dramatically effective gore and 'bad language', which I consider relatively rare, are excised, any edits should be relatively benign.

I'm sure that they're very sorry.

Kekkaishi ended so I'm glad there getting something new. I'm also glad I get to keep my same schedule. I should be getting the first volume of kekkaishi through the mail soon anyway.

Yeah, Americans stay up for their late-night shows.
Japanese, apparently, stay up even later, given 3am late-night anime.
And 12am-1am EST has been standard Adult Swim for years.

I've been watching the midnight--3am time early Sunday Adult Swim slot for a few seasons now thanks to Cowboy Bebop, GITS, FMA in spite of the fact all these dvds rest in my closet. Nah, early morning isn't an issue. Thankfully, I don't have kids asleep plus my wife is very understanding about being married to an older otaku.
DRRR was fabulous as a sub (Thanks, Crunchyroll). Looks like I'll see whether or not the dub is of merit soon.
