They should name the anthology "Shojo a GoGo" .

Good lord, a Shojo Beat (my vote) for Viz would be like giving them the Ring of Power. One anthology to rule all the manga importers.

"Shojo Beat" was a bit too much like "Tiger Beat" for my tastes.

None of the suggested titles were that good, but "Shojo Beat" is the least offensive of the three. Why is Viz talking about starting a shojo anthology though? Isn't Animerica Extra basically all shojo anyway?

Yea, it kind of is (though it has some normal things in it). But they probobly want something they can slap the word Shojo on and hope it will appeal to more people.

I voted for Shojo Central. Shojo Beat sounded too teenage-ish.
I'm surprised they didn't ask my age though. I'm not interested in buying it if they're going to aim it at the same age group as Shonen Jump.

If they want to make a different shoujo anthology, hell yeah, I'm up for it. The stuff in animerica extra doesn't really appeal to me.
Picked shoujo central, though I don't really like any of the names.
I was hoping instead they could bring over a shoujo mag like they did with shonen jump, but eh, guess too many licensing issues over here.

I wasn't thrilled with any of them either. But I voted for Shojo Central. Shojo Beat just didn't appeal to me. I don't really know why. And Shojo Power, for some reason, reminds me of Tokyo Mew Mew's new English title: Mew Mew Power. But after reviewing them a second time, Shojo Central sounds more like an imformative website or place than a collection of different mangas.

I think the name should be associated with Shonen Jump, so I pick shojo Beat. It makes sense if they're related in some way. Or they could of jsut call it Shojo Jump.

Thats why I voted for Beat. It sounded like a good companion to Shonen Jump.
Call me crazy.....

But they don't want to target Shonen jump readers...besides, Jump is probobly copyrighted.
It would be nice if they would make another PULP like anthologhy, but thats never going to happen. And its easier to just buy thr TPBs without getting things I don't like.

I voted for Shoujo Beat as well. Shoujo Central doesn't seem fit as a magazine title (A news group, maybe?) and Shoujo Power reminds me of Nintendo Power, not very creative if you asked me.

Durr. Shounen Jump is an actual magazine in Japan. None of those titles are. I liked how they were doing a sort of English version of Jump -- but for this shoujo thing, are they just gonna take a bunch of shoujo manga from different publishers and shove 'em together? It's not as neat of an idea to me. I'd rather they make the English Ribon or something.

EigoMANGA did a similar fan-feedback thing like this for their shojo anthology back in the summer. Unlike the poll Viz is doing, they had people come up with their own names of their shojo comic and allowed people to suggest what kind of stories they wanted to read. That's how they came up with the name Sakura Pack.
It's just an pretty interesting observation.

-really, or an american hana to yume magazine, since they're releasing lots from that publisher, anyway...
