Olivya, a priestess and the love interest of main character Denam, was apparently showing a bit too much leg in the original artwork. So Square Enix gave her tights instead of wicked, sinful bare flesh.

There shouldn't had been too much thigh flesh in the first place. Have you thought of that? Huh? Huh?! Laughing

Maybe people would like your character designs better if you didn't give all the women such ridiculous jutting breasts, Mr. Yasuda.

Maybe that's the ONLY thing they like about his character designs. Have you ever thought of that? Laughing

Ha ha! She's about to do something that would be sexual assault in real life but it's FUNNY because it's anime/games/parody/irony.

It is not sexual assault when it's between cute girls. Everybody knows that for a fact! Drrrr! Laughing

That kid would be college-age now, and I hope he's realized that there are women out there who aren't video-game characters.

No, you're looking at it the wrong way!
The point you should be asking is: he's all growed up now; yet why aren't there women who ARE video-game characters!
I hope you realize it has been too many years already. Laughing

Heh, I wonder if that Kagura game allows photos. If so, you can expect those MPO files to make their rounds on the Internet...

Evil Zone much? Trouble Witches reminds me of Quests first game: Magical Chase (minus the shopkeeper molesting).

I have an issue with Dimensions. Several, actually.

Itagaki is not involved

The new head developer believes the counter system in DOA4 was too complicated so they're making it simpler to pull off counters.

Due to the inclusion of all of the bosses from the entire series as playable characters I'm expecting the game to have absolutely no balance between the characters.

DOA actually developed a rather complex fighting system between Ultimate and 4, but I'm expecting Dimensions to be over-simplified and unbalanced shit.

Thank you for pointing out the bizarre Devil Survivor boobs. That's been annoying me all week.

There are other revealed thighs on the Tactics Ogre cover, including those of Olivya's sister Sherri, but only Olivya's outfit was altered.

Actually, if you look closely at the screenshots Todd provided, you can see Sherri's underboob is softened as well. So Square isn't discriminating against revealing thighs alone. Wink

So, OG3 has finally been officially confirmed? Time to get a PS3 then! Not too hopeful about getting it officially translated though, but I guess there's always hope.

Also, Katherine > Catherine.

While we're on the topic of "bursting breast hyper battles", I really hope Soul Calibur V reins in the series' rampant boob inflation. Characters who used to be smartly sexy (Sophitia, Seung Mina), have gotten badly implausible, and the worst offenders (Ivy, Taki) are now utter parodies of themselves. There's a point at which sexy character designs become patronizing, and then it's just creepy.

The monsters are the work of Another manga artist: Mohiro Kitoh. Yes, the same Mohiro Kitoh who makes cute and horrifying comics like Shadow Star and Bokurano. He's perfectly at home in the Shin Megami Tensei world.

When I read this I literally went "Oh, s**t!" Glad to see Kitoh is back to making the Mons concept as horrifying as possible, if only through visual designs.

I doubt we'll be seeing SC's older women like Ivy and Taki return. They'd both be in their mid to late 40s by then. And there will be guest characters, unfortunately. And apparently at least 26 fighters

Suzuhito Yasuda is designing the main cast, sure to disappoint those who found his work on the original painfully generic

I hear to that! Though I'll admit his designs for this one look much better than what he did for the first game. But he really needs to learn how to draw breasts outside of "non-existent" and "gravity defying watermelons."

It's awesome that Kito's involved, he seems like a more fitting guy to be working with a series like Devil Survivor.

And speaking of character designs I really like the new ones for Soul Calibur V so far. I just hope that the women get better treatment than what happened in IV, and the guest characters & designs are more fitting for the SC universe.

I fail to see the point in putting tights on Olivya. She is now more sexy, even though less skin is showing. Smooth, Squenix, smooth.

Also, since the 2 is in an exponent position, shouldn't the game be pronounced "Nin nin-jump"?

Didn't he point out that Ivy is ageless? I admit I haven't played IV, and III was hard to follow, but isn't she an alchemist and seeking immortality?

Cover art alterations: The game industry probably consists of people who haven't done it yet or have very narrow-minded views of sexuality; or more likely perhaps they still fear the retaliation of the dreaded soccer moms and dads who will no doubt protest artwork of women showing off more than a t-shirt or skirt's worth of skin. Those Catherine changes, especially the 360 one, are really stupid though.

Soul Calibur V: While I have no particular interest in the series other than Lizardman, I found making Lloyd the guest star in Legends was interesting. Too bad everyone hated that one. I do have to agree though, putting in Link and Darth Vader and anyone else they can think of is just weird.

Devil Survivor 2: I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a fan of Yasuda's character designs. Yozakura Quartet made me a follower of his style. I really want to get my hands on this. Hopefully a certain demon I'm quite fond of is in this because he wasn't in the original.

PSN: All I can say is I just want to get back to using the Playstation Store. I still got money to spend on downloads for Cross Edge and Trinity Universe, along with buying some PS1 classics again.

Strania: I have to admit, the promo art looks great on this one.

Regarding the added leggings: I realize that they added them to be less racy, but she looks better with them. Before she was wearing long sleeves with her high cut one piece swimming suit and it looks weird. The color balance was off. Black arms, blue torso, flesh on the legs, and brown boots. It was too asymmetrical. The edited cover also has the spiffy background as opposed to the white. I think they made an improvement on this one.

The DOA change and the Catherine change are silly though.
