I wonder if Toriko will stay next week in that position or lowers to Bleach levels.

I'd assume a big fall. That was the One Piece crossover episode, so One Piece fans were watching it as well.

One Piece and Detective Conan beating Toriko in the ratings comes as no surprise since they are long lasting franchises that have developed a loyal following over the years. It will take time before Toriko starts to develop its following with the anime only crowd. Right now, the show is expected to ride with its timeslot and the JUMP fanbase.

...I'd never even heard of Toriko until seeing its ANN reviews in the Spring 2011 preview. It's really that big?

The first episode the one in these rankings is a crossover with one piece and replaces DB kai.

From what I've been hearing Toei is desperate for a new hit that will replace DBZ's popularity abroad. The decreasing loss of revenue from foreign licensing and merchandising of DB due to it's age and the lack of popularity outside of Japan of Toei's other properties, one piece and pretty cure is really hurting there financing.
