Apparently according to the RAW torrent, it claims ep 17 is the end, despite the fact that Geneon licensed it. Anyone have more info?

Apparently, this was a mistake from [EDIT - NO group names. -C]. The series has finished it's run on Fuji TV, and will [continue] it's run on BS Fuji TV, the HDTV satelite network.
http://www.champloo-online.com/content-news/1095901064/ - Source That had me scared for a little bit. =P [edit - I worded that way wrong. Oh well. Fixed the wording. =P] [2nd edit - Deathly sorry about the group name. ] Last edited by Shiki MSHTS on Fri Sep 24, 2004 8:03 am; edited 2 times in total |

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm sure a lot of Champloo fans were panicking.

A possible reason that it is being moved to Fuji TV's cable channel is that a very high budget anime has been produced and the studio demanded that it be put on as soon as possible.
Thats just my guess, its proboly not correct. |

ok this is just weird. why is this whole episode prepped as though this is the end? it's almost as though they were planning this whole thing from the beginning, like it was supposed to be dropped here.

They probably did. Those watching it on network TV are out of luck unless they want to subscribe to satellite TV.

The ratings weren't doing that well. It was on at an odd time as well, so not many people watched it.
