Google's People Finder has been reversed from "dead" to "seeking information". There is no information as far as the program goes.

I'm fairly sure it's a hoax. I haven't seen anything outside of Twitter that's mentioned it, and no one is linking back to a source.
I wish people would stop assuming that if someone hasn't updated, it means they've died. It's a horrible, terrifying thing to happen and I'm sure a lot of the people we're concerned for have more pressing things to take care of than update their blog. Like making sure everyone they know is okay. Be patient and don't believe rumors until you see a reliable source!! All in all, considering the magnitude of the earthquake, the death toll (so far) is relatively low, compared to what it would be in a country that wasn't so well-prepared.

Kishimoto appears at various sources as alive. |
This. I believe in these sources, and thinking he lives in Tokyo or near, it wasn't a so damaged area.
People saying he's dead are just trolling, like the one who spread the rumor about Satoshi Tajiri's death ¬¬

That page on Google's people finder is in english, the japanese version doesn't have any report about Kishimoto...

From what I heard, he lived near where the nuclear power plant was located, and my guess is that, if he's okay, he's probably been evacuated, and is probably lacking the resources to update us on his condition. I would hold out hope, though. Hopefully he'll update his blog in the next day or so. |

The twitter listed for Takahiro Sakurai is just his bot twitter, which automatically tweets events and stuff, so he didn't actually tweet anything. There's no real confirmation of his status or not ._.
