Anyone know what's the best place to buy manga online?
Price? Shipping? Wide Selection of title? Promotion? |

I have to recommend DDD (deep discount DVD); the prices are the lowest I have found online which are $5-10 cheaper then other places. As for selection they have a wide range of title. Shipping is free. Yet they don't have promotions on items and ony accept creidt cards.
Yet be warned I have heard horror stories of people buying thing from there then never receive them. Yet it has not happened to me. Edit: one3rd beat me to it |

I think the biggest downfall of ddd is the lack of selection. They only got a couple of title (maybe less than 100).

Like domestic or import?
Amazon.com, AnimeCastle, AnimeNation, RightStuf, PlanetAnime, AnimeTen, or just going to the actual websites of Viz, Del Rey, ADV, Tokyopop, ComicsOne, CPM, etc...to look at their online catalogs. |

Amazon is a great site, and they will often have things for supercheap. Right now Viz is selling their out of print, old format stuff for super cheap on their website.

Aside from animeten, most of the place you mention don't really have good prices. I never pay full retail price to buy a manga online when I can go get it at the store and save myself time/shipping cost. Reason why i ask for the best place, so I can save some money online. Well, I was just listing random sites. I buy all my manga at Waldenbooks. |

Well I didn't mean it as a diss. I'm just aware of place like tokyopop, animecastle, animenation, del ray...they're very common. I was looking for a place like animeten or dollarmanga but with a bigger selection, promotion or even cheaper prices. Anything that would put them over the top of other site. But thanks for the help. I gotta give amazon a visit. Last edited by darkhunter on Sun Sep 12, 2004 1:15 am; edited 1 time in total |

If it sells for them, though, they might stock more titles. The best way to increase their selection is to buy out what they have. Edit: I just checked the site, and they seem to have quite a bit less than I remember seeing there the last time I checked. Hopefully that means they're getting the message. |

I just checkout AnimeCastle. It looks like they dropped their mangas to 7.99. And with their free shipping, free point system, and every now and then 5% coupon it might be worth it to keep them on my bookmark page.
But to be honest sometimes I goto Boarder and B&N to get my books. However, when I need to pick up DVD, manga, and toys in one stop I'll shop at the other anime retail sites. |

Cheapest price so far and they don't sell any bootleg. Only low point is free shipping if you spend 100. DEEPdiscountdvd has a few new manga now, put "graphic novel" in the search box. If anybody know any good deal, post here. |
