Based VERY loosely on cars.

The main idea seems to be the promotion of the brand name. I bet many people had no idea what was the origin of the company's name.

Hey, maybe Subaru has some magic staves in the works. Couldn't help but laugh when the staves in episode 2 started up like cars. Wouldn't be surprised if that was Gainax's idea...

Subbed net animation = subbed DVD/BD = now i gotta buy it... The cycle of pain to my wallet continues
But yeah, i had no idea about that whole constellation and company logo stuff. And my parents always said that anime wasn't educational enough...

I heard it was based loosely on Madoka Magica.

I thought it sounded a little out of place, but it would be kind of cool to have a magic staff that sounds like a horizontally-opposed 4-cylinder engine

Alright! Now I'll get to enjoy and understand this series . Big kudos to Gainax for doing this.

Now if only they would've put subtitles on the Panty and Stocking BDs...

I knew I should've waited for this. Watching something raw can be interesting, but a version I can understand is always better appreciated.

I'm glad I stayed subscribed to their YouTube channel after I found out that the original episodes did not have a subtitle option ~ these showed up in my Youtube subscription box on my Roku this morning. I've alreadu "worked my way through" 3/4 of the series.
Now I have to find a spare 6 minutes to finish the series up ... where will I find the time!

I don't normally watch this kind of thing but... I liked it. I wish it was longer and didn't come with the slight shame of being a strange car advertisement.

Wow, this was so much better than I had expected. I love magical girl shows like this that don't take themselves overly serious. Makes me want to watch Magic Users Club again. I could go for an extended version of this or a sequel.
I really enjoyed the ending credits with all of the production art and pictures from different artists (wish they subbed the names of those artists). Really nice stuff in there.
