As much as I'd like to get one of these, I find it expensive. I rather use plain old wooden shelves to display my GUNPLA models. Still nice to see Bandai make these for those who are willing to pay.
Which reminds me... I need to save up for more GUNPLA, I have yet to buy a MG 00 Quanta...

Looks like a big waste of money. But I'm perfect happy with my IKEA Detolf. Bandai's case doesn't seem to offer much bang for your buck.

It is a bit much for a simple display case with Gundam themed decals, but you also have to look at this way, the Gunpla builders who have several MG and PG kits (Which easily cost $200+ each), will probably be the main demographic of buyers for these cases. I would also say it is safe to say, retail stores and hobby shops may purchase a case or two for display.
I agree with everyone else. My standard shelves are just fine for my Gunpla models.

This is Bandai Japan we're talking about here. They're a lot more efficient than a certain American anime distribution subsidiary. At least when they're not tryin to rip you off

That is true. Rather have something expensive than to be ripped off entirely in terms of a anime themed item. Yeah this item is expensive, but if you have the cash and really, really, really like Gundam, I think this is the item for you.
Although this item is expensive, at least it was made in Japan and not somewhere that may or may have added lead to this item.

I don't know about this one. For someone who is really into Gunpla (or anything for that matter), I'd pretty much expect them to custom build something specific to their specifications.
Not that this isn't nice, but it seems that the target audience they're going after (especially with this price tag) might choose to go that route instead, since it would be a more personal touch to one's collection.
