Does anyone know exactly what Superior Defender is? It sounds interesting but I've never heard of it, does it have a different name in japan? I love japanese toys!

No idea. Just that the site says it's the next big thing, yada, yada. Probably can find it up on Google.
It's neat that they are coming out with more Godzilla toys, ahh. But there's no plans for any new Outlaw Star toys...bummer. However, after looking at some other preview toy sites: I'm going to kill for those Werewolf: the Apocalypse toys when they come out. Ahhh! *drool* Margarve, King Albrecht, Mari..... But no Evan-Heals-the-Past? What's up with that? PS: Edit your topic thread title. You left out the 'i' in Bandai. |

Found out what Superior Defender is.
Think about it, what's the initials for Superior Defender? SD right? What does SD also stand for? Super Deformed, Superior Defender is a new anime based on Super Deformed Gundam! Just about everything I know you've already sourced in the news, but I did find this from Mecha Anime HQ which suggests it's an entirely new show and series which hasn't been shown in Japan. "So what is Superior Defender? Why, it's SD Gundam made specifically for America. Wing Zero never appears in any classic SD Gundam, therefore this is totally new. I will keep up to date with whatever news comes out about this weird new series." Very interesting, I wonder what the behind the scenes work is like on this, if it was planned for a japanese release, but canceled or bumped for something else, or if it is a totally new concept. What I find most interesting is that SD in any form is hardly popular over here unless it's for the "cute" effect. If this is an exclusive it sure is an odd one to pick. Emerje |
