   At 6:28 there is some sort of promotion going on in a screen in the background. Is it the band playing in the OP/ED?

   The ending had me grinning from ear to ear like I haven't done in a long time!

   Gotta say that I'm impressed with the animation.....

   Reunions revisited.

   The cut up, self-reflective monologues in each episode are really touching to me. I've personally been in that space ─ both physically and mentally ─ a lot.

12. " 'Taking On All Comers! Love, Fists, and Best Bros' "
    There's a contradiction in the last episode ─ also, what's up with all of the computer screens?

• Because of the last episode's contradiction I am rating it at 10/11.
• The dub I saw has lip flap issues. (ADR Director: ANGELLE, Felecia)

Pros:

• Surprisingly humorous; it doesn't take itself too seriously.
• Nice OST!

Cons:

• Some of the action scenes lack any rhyme or reason.
• Episode #25 (OAV?) is heavy on action and weak on plot.

• I've rated it as thus because not only is it a damned good movie, but I couldn't tell how it was gonna end. A fairy tale won't necessarily end in a fairy-tale ending. The OST is also pretty damned effective, as well!
• Having now read the manga, I can now say that that this movie is unusual in that it actually improves upon the manga. The tragedy is better and there is a really good discussion of Sleeping Beauty, as well. In the end, I'm not surprised of this because in an included interview the director said that that he'd had to submit a number of different scripts to the producer (6? 7? I forget.) before the project was green-lit.

Casting the whole story within the framework of Sleeping Beauty – which, surprisingly, was not done at all in the source material even though it's almost a perfect fit – is a distinct improvement, too.
