Seven Seas Launches Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō Audiobook for Siren Imprint

(October 2, 2024) — Seven Seas Entertainment is thrilled to announce, through its Siren imprint for audiobooks, the launch of the audiobook series for Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō by Motoo Nakanishi, with narration by Paul Dateh, known for his role as Wakana Gojo in the English dub of My Dress-Up Darling. In this time-spanning fantasy epic of humans and demons, a warrior in feudal Japan must hunt a demon through time–a tale soon to be an anime! And don't miss the manga adaptation, also from Seven Seas!

For generations, a shrine has stood in the mountain village of Kadono, and for each generation the shrine has had an Itsukihime—its shrine maiden—and the maiden has had her guardian. During the Edo period, a young man named Jinta protects the town and the Itsukihime. When he confronts a strange demon in the nearby forest, it tells him that in the distant future a Demon God will threaten all people, everywhere, and it claims that the Demon God's rise to power springs from this very time and place, in the village of Kadono. So begins the centuries-spanning journey of a man tainted by demons, hunting through time to seek justice for what he's lost, and to find a reason to keep on fighting.

Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō (Audiobook) Vol. 1 will be released for the first time in the English language on October 17, 2024. Pre-orders are available now at sevenseasaudiobooks.com.
