The Battlefield Calls and Victory Awaits: Earth Defense Force 6 Deploys Today on PlayStation and PC

OAKLAND, CA – July 25, 2024 – The fight for the Earth begins…again! D3Publisher Inc., a leading Japanese games publisher, is excited to share that EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6, the latest entry in the popular action-shooter series, is now available to purchase for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, and PC via Steam for an MSRP of $59.99 for the Standard Edition. A PlayStation Deluxe Edition will also be available for an MSRP of $89.99. Both editions will be available for a 10% discount within the first two weeks of launch. Previously released in Japan, this marks the first time the title is available for Western audiences in North America and Europe. Players who purchase the game within five months of launch will receive three decoys based on popular Vtubers Takanashi Kiara, Gawr Gura, and IRyS as well as a metal-coated version of the "Nix" combat frame. Additionally, PlayStation Deluxe Edition owners will earn the “Ranger Boarding Weapons: Blacker No. 6” as an early purchase bonus.

In the year 2024, humanity won the war against the unknown invaders known as “Primers”, and peace returned to the planet. But as a result of the conflict, 90% of Earth's population was destroyed, leaving civilization on the brink of collapse. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6 begins in 2027, three years after the events of EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5. The survivors continue their efforts to rebuild but threats to the world's safety remain persistent. The Primers left behind many alien colonists and the two species have become increasingly hostile toward one another. The number of invasive organisms nesting in the depths of Earth and its ruins continues to increase. The Earth Defense Force (EDF) is once again called upon to protect the planet from aggressive extraterrestrial invaders and determine the true purpose of the giant ring-shaped object that recently appeared in the sky.
