Los Angeles, CA -- Masumi Kanōh, designer for one of the largest Japanese Lolita fashion brands, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, will be Pacific Media Expo's Fashion Guest of Honor. Always adoring the Lolita style, Ms. Kanoh began designing her own Lolita headwear while she was in school. Later, Ms. Kanoh went to school to study fashion. Eventually, she went on to design classical and princess motifs for Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, the first internationally-established Lolita brand. Masumi Kanōh will appear at a Q&A panel and a special ticketed event.
One of the founding brands of the sweet Lolita style, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright is one of the most popular Lolita brands the world over. It has been featured in every Lolita publication including Gothic & Lolita Bible, Kera, and Fruits to name a few. The label was also the driving force behind the manga, movie, and novel, Shimotsuma Monogatari (Kamikaze Girls).
