Tora-Con 2009 Announces New Guests, Todd Haberkorn and John Swasey
ROCHESTER, NY – January 19, 2009 – RIT Anime Club is excited to welcome Todd Haberkorn and John Swasey into their roster of guests for this year's Tora-Con!
Todd Haberkorn has been acting either on stage or on set for over 15 years in the entertainment industry. He can be heard as the host for the monthly Funimation Podcast at funimation.com/podcastlead and also in his leading roles in the anime series Suzuka, Ghost Hunt, Claymore and Holic, as well as his supporting roles including Itsuki in Shuffle, Ichimoruken in Hell Girl, Firo in Baccano!, Kono in Darker than Black, and Khoza in One Piece. Of course, more characters are on the way!
John Swasey, voice actor and director, started down the road of anime in 1997, when he landed his first role in Golden Boy from ADV Films. Since then, he has leant his voice to shows and characters with ADV Films, Funimation, and Illumitoons. In the anime realm, he has voiced Kogoro in Sgt. Frog, Huang in Darker than Black, Vulcan in Orphen, Ken in Kaleido Star, Captain Ahab in Hakugei The Legend of Moby Dick, Rikudoh in RahXephon, Karl Haushofer in Fullmetal Alchemist, Sir Crocodile in One Piece, Mister in Coyote Ragtime Show to name very few. In the live action film side, he can be heard in 2009 Lost Memories, Conduct Zero, Yesterday, Jungle Juice, and the Gamera trilogy. Some of the shows he has directed include Welcome to the NHK, AirGear, Wandaba Style, St. Seiya, Shadow Skill, E’s Otherwise, Michel, and Jinki:Extend. John loves working in the world of anime as a director and voice actor!

ABOUT TORA-CON: Tora-Con was created by the Rochester Institute of Technology Anime Club to provide family friendly anime and manga related entertainment to the Rochester area and beyond. The convention is planned and prepared by a dedicated Anime Club E-Board made up of RIT students.
