ADV Announces April 5th Releases

HOUSTON, March 7, 2005 -- ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the North America, is excited to announce a flurry of hot new titles set to be unleashed April 5, 2005.

GANTZ: AFTERSHOCKS, VOLUME THREE

The nightmare is far from over!

The first brutal round may be over, but the sadistic game that has Kei trapped between life and death rages on in full force. Reality takes a turn for the worse as the third installment of the no-holds-barred thriller blasts its way to shelves everywhere on April 5, 2005.

“The animation, action, and sheer violence will grab you by the shirt collar and bit#h slap you silly.” —DVDVisionJapan.com

“The show is just too cool for words though, and after watching the disc once it'll leave you mouth agape and frothing for more.” – Dub Review

Produced by animation powerhouse GONZO (Full Metal Panic!, Chrono Crusade, Peacemaker), Gantz proved to be far too intense and graphic for Japanese broadcast, with massive edits and digital re-cropping required in order to be aired. Now you can experience the mega-violent mindbender that took Japan by storm in its full uncut, no-holds-barred glory with ADV Films' DVD release. Please be advised, however, that Gantz contains extremely graphic violence, language, nudity and frank sexual situations that may offend some viewers. Gantz is for mature viewers only.

The first game is over, but will the horrors committed be forever burned into the souls of those who remain “alive”? As new shocking developments rip the survivors' “real” worlds to shreds, the sins of the flesh grow and spread, festering until the line between good and evil ceases to exist. In a world where the laws of life and death have been overturned, what other forbidden passions remain?

Gantz: Aftershocks, Volume Three (SPR $17.98) is a DVD-only release with 2 complete episodes presented in anamorphic widescreen in English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include: clean opening and closing animations, cast talk featuring Daisuke Namikawa (Kurono), Masashi Osato (Kato) & Hitomi Nabatame (Kishinoto), and ADV Previews.
