ADV Films Announces Street Date for Megazone 23 Part 1 And Other Releases
RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED MEGAZONE 23 PART 1
HOUSTON, April 13, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., has set a street date of June 1, 2004 for the DVD release of Megazone 23 Part 1. A classic title from the eighties' “Golden Age of Anime,” the three-part Megazone 23 is a refreshing blast of intellectual science-fiction and rousing action in the tradition of The Matrix and Blade Runner. Megazone was anime's first successful OVA (“original video animation”) release and was used by Harmony Gold to create Robotech: The Movie in the eighties.
The Story
Street racer Shogo Yahagi's having a lousy week. The military's after him, the government can't help him and his new set of wheels is so hot that it may cost him his life! And that's only the beginning of his problems; the world that Shogo and his friends have lived in for their entire lives isn't even real, and now their only hope is an artificial intelligence that may or may not be telling them the truth about the fate of the human race!
Limited Collector's Edition Available: Megazone 23 Part 1 will be available in the standard single DVD and in a collector's edition with a custom series art box sized to hold the entire three part series, plus this special edition also includes an exclusive Megazone 23 mouse pad.

The Story
With the finals well underway, Misaki and friends decide to take a well-deserved break at the beach, but Icchan and his group are there, too. A secret love is revealed, and new loves bloom as the whole gang takes a break from the stress of the tournament at the seaside.
