posted on by Adriana Hazra
Smartphone game developer Niantic revealed on its official blog on Wednesday that the Pokémon GO app will host the India Wayfarer Challenge from 16 March at 12:00 a.m. IST until 26 March at 12:00 a.m. IST.
Trainers Level 38 and above can participate in the challenge by reviewing Wayspot nominations in the country and can unlock "special rewards" in the Pokémon GO game. Rewards are available in three tiers and are awarded based on the number of Wayspots reviewed. The same opportunity is also available for Agents Level 10 and above for the Ingress app.
Niantic is conducting the event during the festival of Holi. The company recently hosted the Poland Wayfarer Challenge.
The Pokémon GO app launched in select countries including the United States in July 2016.
