The official Twitter account for the Celestial Method television anime series announced on Friday that it has released the the previously announced new episode for the anime on YouTube. The episode is titled "Mō Hitotsu no Onegai" (One More Wish), and serves as the 17th episode of the overall anime. Producer Takayuki Nagatani stated on Twitter on October 8 that the show's opening and ending count as the 14th and 15th episodes, with an OVA bundled with the show's seventh home video release serving as the 16th episode.
The Twitter account had stated last week that it would release the episode on October 11, but did not state at that time how the episode would be released.
The episode added new character Carol, voiced by Marika Kōno.
Celestial Method was an original fantasy work focusing on one girl's return to her hometown, after the death of her mother and resulting reunion with her childhood friends. One of those friends, though, she does not remember. That friend is Noel and she has some kind of connection to the UFO that hangs over the entire city.
Masayuki Sakoi directed the 13-episode television series that premiered in October 2014 at the new Studio 3Hz off of an original concept and script by Naoki Hisaya (Kanon). The illustrator circle QP:flapper (MM!) designed the characters. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North America.
