Deserted island setting, crafting highlighted in trailer
Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the latest entry in the Animal Crossing game franchise and the first on the Nintendo Switch, has been delayed from this year to March 20, 2020. Nintendo debuted a trailer than showcases the game's deserted island setting as well as its crafting and farming features.
The last main Animal Crossing game, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, shipped for Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2012 and in North America in 2013. Nintendo has since also released the Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival board game-style Wii U game and the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer 3DS game. The Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp app game launched in November 2017.
