Joshi Kausei Anime Reveals Opening Song Artist, April 8 Premiere
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official website for the television anime of Ken Wakai's Joshi Kausei manga revealed the anime's opening theme song artist and April 8 premiere date on Friday.
The artist amatsuuni performs the anime's opening theme song "silent days."
The anime will premiere in Tokyo MX's Futabanime programming block on April 8 at 24:00 (effectively, April 9 at midnight).
The cast includes:
Tomomi Mineuchi as Shibumi Shibusawa, a cool, collected, and bespectacled high schooler who has been friends with Momoko since grade school.
Yurika Kubo as Mayumi Koi, a cute high school girl with thick eyebrows and soft cheeks. She just transferred to the school, so her uniform is different.
Noriyoshi Sasaki (Ojisan to Marshmallow, King's Game The Animation, Holmes of Kyoto) is directing the anime at Seven, and is also credited for series composition. Kyōhei Yamamoto (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, Anima Yell! animation director) is designing the characters.
Crunchyroll is publishing the series digitally, and it describes the story:
Who needs dialog when you're this cute? The beautiful (but unlucky) Momoko, the cool, collected Shibumi, and the refreshingly innocent Mayumi star in a "silent manga." No speeches, no dialog! Just pictures, sound effects, and three high school girls living their daily lives.
The manga launched on Futabasha's Web Comic Action manga website in 2013. Futabasha published the manga's eighth compiled book volume last September.
