Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wins Game of the Year at SXSW Gaming Awards

NieR:Automata, Fire Emblem Heroes, Resident Evil 7, Super Mario Odyssey also win awards
Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game won the award for Game of the Year at The SXSW Gaming Awards ceremony event on Saturday.
The game also won the awards for Excellence in Gameplay and Excellence in Design.
The game also won Game of the Year at the 35th Golden Joystick Awards ceremony in London in November, and won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2017 in December.
Other Japanese games that won awards at The SXSW Gaming Awards included:
- Super Mario Odyssey: Excellence in SFX
- NieR:Automata: Excellence in Musical Score, Excellence in Technical Achievement
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: Virtual Reality Game of the Year
- Fire Emblem Heroes: Mobile Game of the Year
