Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming the eight-minute promotional video for the Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game with English subtitles on Tuesday. The video previews the game's story and gameplay.
The game will ship in the West on January 19. People who pre-order the game in the West will receive four Digimon: Omnimon NX, Sistermon Ciel and Blanc, Leopardmon NX, and Crusadermon NX. People who pre-order will also receive four exclusive costumes: V. Uchida Costume, Summer Camp T-Shirt, Beelzebumon Emblem T-Shirt, and Inoden School Attire. The release will feature the original Japanese dub and English and German subtitles. The game will be available physically and digitally for the PS4 and digitally for the PS Vita.
The game shipped in Japan on December 14.
Like the first Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth game, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory is a "raising RPG" that takes place in the real and digital worlds. The game tells the story about the "other side of Cyber Sleuth," set in the same setting as the first game. There will be more than 320 Digimon that can be raised in the game.
The game features a new protagonist who dives into the world of hackers after he is branded a criminal for an incident he has no memory of. His name, which can be changed, is Keisuke Amasawa (Bandai Namco Entertainment also spells his last name as Amazawa). Players must collect “Hacker's Memory” items to uncover the truth about characters and events in the story.
The new game shares some maps from the previous game, but adds 30 new maps for a total of 90 maps.
A new game for the Digimon Story series is in development for the PS4.
