Koei Tecmo America began streaming a story trailer with English subtitles on Wednesday for the upcoming game Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon (Yoru no Nai Kuni 2 ~Shingetsu no Hanayome~) game.
Koei Tecmo previously streamed a trailer that introduced the game's main characters.
Koei Tecmo Games and Gust released the game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 31 after several delays. Koei Tecmo America is releasing the game in North America under the title Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon on October 24 for the PS4, Switch, and PC. Koei Tecmo Europe will release the game in Europe on October 27.
The game will mark Koei Tecmo's first Western release for the Nintendo Switch. Koei Tecmo America describes the sequel:
Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon takes place in a fictional, demon-ridden Western European city towards the end of the 19th century. The story focuses on a knight protector named Alushe and her two childhood friends – Liliana, a kind-hearted priestess, and Ruhenheid, a holy knight of the Lourdes Order. While guarding Liliana, Alushe is ambushed and killed only to later awaken as an artificial half-demon at the hands of the New Curia, a religious organization with dark ties. In the company of a variety of unlikely allies with their own pasts and agendas, Alushe's strong desire to save Liliana gives her the strength to scatter the shadows shrouding the world and motivation to uncover the shocking truth behind the mysterious Queen of the Moon.
The game stars Sayaka Senbongi as Aluche, Ai Kayano as Liliana, and Mikako Komatsu as Ruenheid. Hiroshi Kataoka (Sengoku Musou Chronicle) is directing the game, Keisuke Kikuchi is producing the game, Makoto Shibata (Fatal Frame series) is returning to handle the story, and Jun'ichi Fujisaku (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Blood-C scriptwriter) is supervising the story. Yoshiku is returning to design the characters.
Gust shipped Nights of Azure (Yoru no nai Kuni) for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita in Japan in October 2015. Koei Tecmo America released the game in North America in March 2016, and Koei Tecmo Europe released the game in Europe in April 2016. Both releases were for PS4 only. Koei Tecmo Games released the first game on Steam on February 7.
