Pokémon Sun & Moon Games' Trailer Reveals Munchlax Distribution
posted on by Alex Mateo
The streamed Nintendo Direct presentation streamed new footage for the upcoming 3DS games Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon on Thursday. The trailer reveals an early purchase bonus downloadable Munchlax that players will be able to download starting on the game's launch date on November 18, 2016 until January 11, 2017. The distributed Munchlax comes with the new Snorlium Z item, allowing its evolved form Snorlax to use an exclusive Z-Move, Pulverizing Pancake.
The video also reveals Rattata's new dark/normal-type Alola form, explaining that Rattata developed its regional variant form because it had to become nocturnal to avoid the Pokémon Yungoos.
The official Pokémon Company International YouTube channel began streaming a trailer with this information.
The games will debut in Japan and North America on November 18, followed by Europe on November 23. The three Starter Pokémon (pictured below) are: the Grass-type Rowlet (Mokuroh in Japan), the Fire-type Litten (Nyabby), and the Water-type Popplio (Ashimari).
The games' new Legendary Pokémon include Solgaleo and Lunala (pictured below):
The games will be available on the Nintendo 3DS worldwide in Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, and — unlike in the previous generation — Chinese (Traditional and Simplified). Players can choose their preferred language when they launch each game.
