Digimon Adventure tri. Earns 59 Million Yen in 10 Theaters

Film sold 36,000 tickets in its opening weekend
The first Digimon Adventure tri. chapter sold 36,000 tickets for 59 million yen (about US$480,000) in 10 Japanese theaters, in the first two days since it opened on Saturday. To mark the occasion, the cast will appear at a stage greeting at the Sapporo Cinema Frontier this coming Saturday, November 28.
This same past weekend, the Girls und Panzer movie sold 84,752 tickets for 128,438,980 yen (about US$1.05 million) on 77 screens. It opened at #2, while the live-action film of the My Love Story!! (Ore Monogatari!!) manga dropped from #5 to #8 in its fourth weekend.
