Pokémon's Inuko Inuyama & Ikue Ohtani, Shokotan Voice Monsters in Sion Sono's Love & Peace Film

Illustrator Akihiro Yamada provided a main visual for director Sion Sono's upcoming Love & Peace film. The illustration for the film was unveiled on Tuesday.
The film will be Sono's first monster movie with special effects. The story of Love & Peace begins when a salaryman who failed as a rock musician named Ryōichi Suzuki finds a turtle. It will star Hiroki Hasegawa as Ryōichi, and Kumiko Asō as the heroine. Voicing the monsters in the film will be Gen Hoshino (Saint Young Men's Buddha), Shōko Nakagawa (Occult Academy theme song, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction' Millis), Inuko Inuyama (Pokémon's Meowth, Shaman King's Manta), and Ikue Ohtani (Pokémon's Pikachu, Ojamajo Doremi DOKKAAN!'s Hana).

The film will open throughout Japan in early summer.
Akihiro Yamada has drawn art and character designs for such various manga, anime, and novels as RahXephon, The Twelve Kingdoms, and The Record of Lodoss War: The Lady of Pharis.
Sion Sono previously directed the live-action adaptation of Usamaru Furuya's Suicide Club manga in 2001, as well as the live-action adaptation of Minoru Furuya's Himizu manga in 2011. He has won numerous awards, including Best Director at the Mainichi Film Awards for his film Love Exposure.
