The Japanese video game news website 4Gamer began streaming a 13-minute gameplay introduction video on Monday for Nihon Falcom's PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game Eiyū Densetsu: Sen no Kiseki (The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Flash). The video previews the game's opening scene and anime, and highlights basic exploration and battle gameplay. The video features Kanako Kotera's theme song "Ashita e no Kodō."
The new game is set in the same era as The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, which was released in 2004. This will be the first game in the franchise to originate on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms.
The new features include the "Tactical Link System," which will speed up combat by offering a more intuitive, command-based battle system. The game will offer "Active Voice," in which the cast will voice dialogue in more scenes including movement, in-town scenes, and conversations. With the "360-Degree Free Camera," players can freely control the camera across the map in 360 degrees.
The game's cast includes:
- Kōki Uchiyama as Rean Schwarzer
- Yui Horie as Alisa Reinford
- Ryōko Shiraishi as Eliot Craig
- Mariya Ise as Laura S Arseid
- Takuya Satō as Machias Regnitz
- Shinnosuke Tachibana as Jusis Albarea
- Saori Hayami as Emma Millstein
- Hisako Kanemoto as Fie Claussell
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Gaius Worzel
- Megumi Toyoguchi as Sara Valestin
The game will ship in Japan on September 26, and both the PlayStation 3 version and PS Vita version will be bundled with a drama CD and a full-color art book.
