The September issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Cheese! magazine will announce on Wednesday that manga creator Rei Tōma will launch a new manga series in the November issue on September 24. The announcement (pictured at right) includes character sketches for the upcoming series.
The taglines in the announcement note: "The protagonist is an abominable snowman!? What in the world is his ability...!?," "The heroine is a tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted) woman!?, " and "The setting is a normal high school you can find anywhere!??" Tōma also provides a comment in the announcement, and she stated that Dawn of the Arcana was a serious work, so she wanted to create a more cheerful and bright work this time. Tōma also mentions that she had been thinking that she wanted to create something that was fun to draw, and the new work will "probably" be a love comedy. More details about the series will be revealed in Cheese!'s October issue.
Toma's Dawn of the Arcana manga ended its run in Cheese! in the August issue on June 24. Shogakukan released the 12th volume in Japan in April. Viz Media is publishing the manga in North America, and the company released the 10th volume in June.
