Fate/Extra CCC Sells 110,000+ as Franchise's Best Launch
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Game company Marvelous AQL announced that it sold over 110,000 copies of its PlayStation Portable game Fate/Extra CCC since its March 28 debut. That number includes both retail packages and purchased downloads. As result, the title has notched the franchise's best-selling launch in less than one month. (ASCII Research reported that the original Fate/Extra PSP game eventually sold 135,000.)
Fate/Extra CCC came in two retail editions: a standard edition for 6,279 yen (about US$81.20), and a limited edition Type-Moon Virgin White Box for 10,479 yen (US$135.50). The Virgin White Box version bundled a Saber Bride figma figure, a "visual works" illustration collection, and Sakura Tange's limited Saber character CD with three songs. Those who ordered early also received the "Virgin Bride" booklet, and first-pressing editions included four super-deformed Servant character stickers designed by Rco Wada.
