Blood Lad Manga to Bundle Unaired Anime on Blu-ray
posted on by Egan Loo
The 10th limited-edition volume of Yūki Kodama's Blood Lad vampire comedy manga will bundle an original anime Blu-ray Disc this December. The disc will contain a 25-minute episode based on "that" manga chapter that will not be seen in the upcoming television series version. The bundle is limited to pre-orders submitted by September 17, and it will contain the manga volume with a variant cover, the Blu-ray Disc, and a tall case with an exclusive illustration.
The dark comedy follows a vampire named Staz who has his figurative heart stolen by Fuyumi, a human high school girl who suddenly appears in his world. Unfortunately, she is just as suddenly killed, and thus she becomes a ghost. Staz tries to bring Fuyumi back to life.
Shigeyuki Miya (Lupin III: Green vs Red, Buzzer Beater) is directing the television anime at Brains Base from scripts by Kenji Konuta (Library War, Toshokan Sensō: Kakumei no Tsubasa), and Kenji Fujisaki (chief animation director on Battle Girls - Time Paradox) is designing the characters.
