Dates and Events for the Evangelion Art Exhibition on the Gold Coast Announced

The Arts Centre Gold Coast has announced further details on the Evangelion Art Exhibition which starts it's Australian tour from the 17th of April. The Exhibition will then tour New South Wales and Victoria later in 2013.

The Arts Centre has added details on their website, the tour will run from the 17th of April to the 5th of May in the studio as part of Queensland Pop Culture Week 2013 (QPOW!) and presented by the Arts Centre, Madman Entertainment, The Japan Foundation and The Gold Coast Film Festival.

The exhibition was originally announced back in November and will provide a extensive insight into how the Evangelion anime series was created, showcasing a collection of original concept, character and production art alongside other items and points of interest from the Evangelion anime series. Rare and valuable Evangelion books, statues, tapestries and other items will also be part of the exhibition.

In addition, the Arts Centre Gold Coast will host two events, Kids' Manga Workshops on Saturday the 27th of April and a hosted talk with Yūko Miyamura, the Japanese voice of Asuka Langley Soryu, on friday the 19th of April. Both activities require reservation.

  • Where: The Arts Centre Gold Coast, 135 Bundall Rd Surfers Paradise, QLD 4217.
  • When: Wednesday the 17th April to Sunday the 5th of May 2013. 10:00am until 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 4:30pm Saturday & Sunday.
  • Cost: $5 entry.

New South Wales fans will be able to attend the exhibition from Friday the 10th of May until Saturday the 18th of May at The Japan Foundation Art Gallery. Victorian exhibition dates and venue have not yet been announced. We will post more information as it comes to light.
