D.C.III ~Da Capo III Dash~ Game Update Released on USB Stick
posted on by Ko Ransom
D.C.III ~Da Capo III~ Dash~, the latest version of the D.C.III ~Da Capo III~ all-ages PC visual novel by software developer CIRCUS, will be sold as a game pre-loaded onto a USB memory stick. While fans who already own the title will be able to download a patch to update their game to the latest version, the 8,800 (about US$112) memory stick will allow players to run the game without having to install it first.
The update includes a new storyline for the character Aoi, a new minigame, a new "ultimate battle," and a "Nico Nico Douga Jikkyo" (Let's Play) mode. While it is not uncommon for visual novel developers to disapprove of streaming playthroughs of their visual novels, the new mode, which removes the male protagonist's lines so fans can add in their own, explicitly states that broadcasts of the mode are allowed.
An anime adaptation of the game to be broadcast next January was announced earlier this year.
D.C.III ~Da Capo III~ Dash~ will be released on September 28.
