posted on by Andrew Osmond
On Monday July 2, Manga Entertainment will release the first of nine boxsets of the digitally remastered action series Dragon Ball Z, based on the classic fighting manga by Akira Toriyama. The first set consists of six discs, carrying the opening 39 episodes of the series.
Manga Entertainment is also releasing the family fantasy cinema film Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW, about five children who befriend a doglike alien and are taken to the moon and beyond. The film is released both on DVD and in a Blu-ray/DVD double-pack (pictured). It includes an English dub co-produced by Manga and NYAV Post.
Finally, MVM is releasing the live-action manga adaptation Crows Zero II, about fighting gangs in high schools, directed by Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Audition.) Like the first Crows Zero film, it is a prequel to the manga by Hiroshi Takahashi.
