posted on by Andrew Osmond
Manga Entertainment has released its fourth podcast, which runs 79 minutes. While the show is mainly given over to discussion of Dragon Ball Z, Jerome Mazandarani of Manga confirmed the following details:
- The upcoming DVD and Blu-ray editions of Puella Magi Madoka Magica are now scheduled for release on October 29. They should also be on sale at the next London MCM Expo event on the preceding weekend (October 26 to 28).
- The postponed DVD release of Strike Witches 2 is now scheduled for September 24, and the feature film Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ is scheduled for December 3.
Also, towards the end of the podcast, Mazandarani recalls how the 2011 reissue of Akira on Blu-ray and DVD was preceded by a limited cinema release, as well as by dubbed and subtitled TV screenings on the Syfy HD channel. He adds, "Hopefully, listeners around the country will be able to enjoy Ninja Scroll in a similar way in HD this Autumn before the home video release; hopefully we'll do a very similar campaign."
